0 KB/s If people don't want to give any download bandwidth, they shouldn't be allowed to download anything. This should be a fair system. I get stuck so many times on a "connected to... " and then for a couple of hours I get 0KB/s. That's wrong. If you don't want to SHARE, then don't be a pig and take all you can. So if you want to be a pig, then take all of the files out of your shared folder and quit stalling the rest of us. I know there will always be jerks, but I'm on a cable modem and I have upload speed at unlimited. I get so few "hits" on what I'm looking for that if someone can use what I've got...go for it! Move that upload bar up people, it's frustrating to be on the wrong end of one of those. |
I agree with you up to a point, but there are a lot of us out there with only 56k modem connections (mine's more like 28k most of the time) and if we're downloading we need all the bandwidth we can get unless we want to leave unfinished DLs for our grandchildren. To compensate, when I'm not DLing, I often leave Limewire with unlimited upload bandwidth so people can experience the thrilling adrenaline rush of downloading from me at a full 3k per second. |
