 You're right, Taliban. Solution 2 (from my first post) would be for making it easier to ban spammers , RIAA bots and other unworthies rather than the situation I mentioned. But the ability to filter ranges of IPs would still be helpful. The other options, though, would be to hide or warn the user about IPs that the user can't download from in the search window - without banning them.
