I think that the downloads should be moved to a different tab than searches. The search result should change color (Shareaza) or change icon (Gnucleus) when that result is being downloaded (or attempted download).

I also think that the monitor searches should have the option of being removed or made invisible. Even if you are a leaf, it almost impossible to watch them because they scroll too fast, and even if you could, why would anyone want to watch a bunch of requests for kiddie porn or britney spears scrolling down the screen anyway. It always seemed like a pretty pointless "feature" that was only ever interesting for it's novelty which quickly wore out. Anyway, if you removed that, you could add downloads to the same tab as uploads, and have a transfers tab which is what pretty much every other client has already.
