![]() Since my last upgrade to 2.5.5 the "Couldn't move to library" problem started to show up with files that some other USER started downloading. It is obviously related with the privileges to use the files in the default folder (in OS X) /Applications/Limewire/Incomplete and as such can be avoided by making sure every file indexed in downloads.dat has the right "write "privileges. This is simple a problem with the way Limewire is built. For some reason developers have not paid attention to the multiuser character of the OS . There is NO NEED for me to resume downloading a file that somebody else started. If some smart developer reads this PLEASE try to implement a downloads.dat file for every User (that in OS X could be stored at ~/Library/Application Support/Limewire) or/and a separate Incomplete folder for every User . This will fix many of the download problems users have experienced. Thanks... |
