Lightbulb Should be able to Browse Host from Monitor tab

A "Browse Host" button should be available in the Uploads pane of the Monitor tab. This would allow users to browse the files being shared by clients downloading files.

This feature would make it easier for users to enforce their own freeloading policy by verifying that downloaders aren't simply sharing a handful of bogus files with questionable value. If this feature were implemented, then I'd support the ability to disable "Browse Host."

It might also be useful if users could enter an IP address and port to browse a host directly.

This sounds like a great feature available in the late Songspy.... very handy to see what others have, with similar tastes in music, etc.

Can become infectious though.... going shopping through other people's song lists.

But, with the ability to disable the "Browse Host" feature, most that are sharing bogus files would probably do just that. Kinda defeats the purpose I would think. I like the idea of using the feature on the uploaders. Since they found something they liked from me, then they might have stuff I'd like too.

That's part of the point - if people are sharing bogus files, you can find out easily. If they've disabled "browse host," then you'd see that they have an empty file list. Realizing that they might be leeching without sharing, you could then terminate their upload, add them to the deny list, or do whatever else you like.

But that's all secondary to the main purpose of the feature. Like you point out, the major benefit is that this would assist in locating files shared by people with similar interests and tastes.
