vorbis tags i don't know how limewire tags its files, but i am sharing several thousand ogg vorbis files and limewire does not recognize their tags. searching would be much more effective if these tags were used. |
Agreed, from my observations with version 2.6.3, native ogg tags are not read in the annotation editor. You can add annotations from the Library but it does not write the changes to the individual ogg files. The descriptions are instead stored in a single LimeWire file that isn't used by other applications. However for mp3s, LimeWire reads the ID3 tags and writes directly to the individual files. I would like to see ogg tag support in LimeWire, since I can't edit ogg tags in my Audion player either. |
I would like to see a whole range of ogg support functions. Understanding ogg tabs, an ogg player and the ability to search for only files of type ogg. Quote:

if you are willing to test it, I will add it please send me an email. I just recently improved the mp3 parser and I could add vobb from what I'ver learned but I need a tester ctmoore(at)gottapee.com |
jvorbiscomment Well, it's probably too late, but just for the record jvorbiscomment ( http://code.google.com/p/jvorbiscomment/ ) might be a good option. It is a java library for reading and writing Ogg Vorbis comments (tags). |
