Connecting to fast IP's in my area Their should be a smart connect. I have been get weak connections from New York and east coast connections. Why isn't my LIME Wire Connnecting to closer users so it would be much faster and stronger? Can I also find Closer IP's manually? |

Limewire might connsider using ping to identify good quality hosts that don't have to have long delays. This would identify "electronicly close" hosts. That would help in finding better hosts. This would also be good to include if an autodownload feature were to be included in LimeWire. I believe this is available on other gnutella network clients like Shareza, etc... |

A low ping does not mean a host is fast (you can have a lower ping with a 56k modem than with DSL). Neither does it mean the host has open download slots and in the worst case it does not even mean the host accepts incoming http connections.
