Default Connection Preferencing/Blocking

Is it possible to enable at the software level for LW to reject for instance, Bearshare, or older LW versions, and only accept ongoing connections to it's own version and/or newer versions of limewire? Sure would help with all of the old versions I seem to want to connect to :-/. 2.9.x's features don't do much if you can't get to another 2.9.x client.

It's possible but it's no good. You'll be able to search more hosts when not preferencing any versions.
