Japanese?

Can Limewire read Japanese characters? I know that people have mp3's in Japanese, but the characters show up at gibberish on my computer, even though my mac is fully equipped to read and write in Japanese. How can I read japanese within Limewire? Any help would be appreciated!

LimeWire or rather java can read an write japanese, but it probably won't if your system has set English as it's default locale.

I should add that I don't know if java for MacOS does support Japanese.
