not sure if this is allready somewhere in this thread or other threads. I don't have the time to look through all the pages, but recently LimeWire's been inaccurately loading my incompleted downloads list on restart (it's missing a munch of the files that are clearly in the incomplete directory and were downloading fine last time I was running). Maybe an option for manually forcing the software to accept incomplete files instead of relying on the dat or bak files (which are probably what's corrupted upon exit) is in order? (as later versions of WinMX had)

This happened to me once. Just search for whatever is missing then download the file with the broken page picture. It'll start from where you left off.

I know, but that will only work if there's an available copy of the file. Plus is just plain a pain in the butt. It shouldn't be that difficult to make a method to import incomplete files (provided they aren't corrupt, of course, but that's a different matter entirely)

Default Limewire: Reboot and resume download

1. I have just tried out Limewire for the first time and while the results appear significantly faster, I am wondering why Limewire will not allow you to reboot your system and then resume downloads where you left off before the reboot. It APPEARS (??) to start the download/s all over again.

2. What about the idea of incorporating a graphical bandwith/speed analysis like eDonkey and Shareaza into the operating shell of Limewire. This would allow you to monitor the real-time bandwith/speed of downloads/uploads. The present indication of the progress of downloads and uploads is a bit short on detail as well.
Other than that, congratulations to Limewire authors!

It should carry on from where you left off... It Does for me... go to Tools>Options>Saving>Basic.

Check to see what number is in the Incompleated files box. If it's 0 or something stick it up. Downloads should then resume when you reboot.

hope that solves problem.

If LW or system crashes or isn't shutdown properly, previously incompletes would refuse to load & forcing them to resume would result in starting from zero %. But that's not the case with LW 4.12.3 as it can now resume from where it was. I'm not sure if this is what a couple of you were talking about ... but finally this issue has been seen to.

Fluffytme, you can already downld to specific file type folders. See How to Change download location (click on link). Also torrents will be in the next betas.
