Maybe this can already be done and I don't know how, if not it should be done. Can you select a few categories from Genre and Artist at the same time? and obviously in other combinations too

You cannot currently select two items from a single filter box. That can be added as a future improvement, but it won't be available in LimeWire 4.2.
