Default 7 Ideas, if some already meantioned sorry.

Sorry if any of the below has been repeated before.
And sorry for the stupid topic name, I couldn't think of one to fit all of these ideas
1. a bug is to go to options for limeWire and hold ctrl and press D then click on imeWire in the taskbar and you cant do anything, so you hold at and press tab untill you get to the options for optrions. i think this is a java error though.

2. Show a username instead of an IP address. I know this was posted before but i do find it very important.

3. With showing a username, how about being able to see whos is in your queue and who is downloading off you so you can then chat to them easily, also for you to see how many people are downloading the file you are, so if you are queued by 15 people then you could see all of them peoples username and talk to them, and talk to anyone else in the queue eitehr after or before you.

4. People with chat turned off is annoying to me as I somtimes try to warn them about flaws in files, like if its a virus or if in a video the swear words are bleeped, so how about everyone with chat enabled(and cant disable) and if they dont want to talk to that person then they press the block button.

5. Not sure if Lime Wire has this, but in chats how about a filter for words, if the word f**k is said then it would be sensored how i have just said it.

6. On searches for it to tell you how many people you could download that certain file off.

7. Built in anti virus, this would dramatically increase the amount of people wanting to get limeWire, and for the antivirus to be built into the server, as if it is only for people using LimeWirePro then they would not buy it to put up viruses as it blocks them, so for the antivirus to be for all uploads and downloads of every user, uploads and downloads are vital incase a user puts up a virus and doesnt know and there is most likely going to be a crack/hack to allow users to upload viruses even with the virus blocker.
not sure if idea 7 is out as limewire verifys the file, not sure if that is it.
Sorry if some features are in it, as I am new to lime wire.

As I'm passing thru. Point 6 is listed under # at the top of your search window (inbetween Quality & dwnld fileName.) You seem to have some good ideas there! AV (virus) means a special team of programmers to keep everybody up to date with the latest germs. Not sure whether LW team could afford that w/o the price of LW skyrocketing. Just a thought.

the anti virus would be a really good idea since yes it would increase interest in the network and would also halt the spreading of viruses through this network.
it would also give less work to people that have antiviruses and care about this issue; they wouldn' t have to scan every file that comes in. that reminds me I have to do that now.... this better be intergrated in the next version, as I haven't seen it yet

As LOTR has already pointed out, I don't think we'll ever see integrated antivirus in LW. Just think about it:
-they'd have to keep a constant update on virus definitions=more developers=more money needed=price skyrocketting
-even if they asked already existant Antivirus developing companies to give them virus definitions, they'd still have to pay for them (most probably and they can't magically come up with money=more money needed=price skyrocketting
-they've already integrated a built-in mp3 player which (no offence) isn't exactly cutting edge. If they integrated Antivirus, either it would be as cutting edge as the mp3 player ("dull" edge then), or they would put some serious effort on it and take in more developers=more money needed=price skyrocketting.
I personally have Norton Antivirus' Autoprotect feature always on and it works (almost) seamlessly in the background. I really notice it only when I insert a disc or do a disc mount. So why not just do that. You'd pay more money anyway for that integrated Antivirus, so why not pay it for a dedicated software and give LW's developers more time to think about how to improve LW programing?

As a side note, by "serious effort" I don't mean that they aren't already putting some serious effort in developing LW. No way. Just that, come on, you have to admit that the player is no good. And I'm not even saying that it can't fast forward/rewind.

true, I wouldn't want something like the player (no offence), and it'll cost alot but maybe they could add in something which lets you scan the files with an antivirus which you have on your computer if you wanted to

I don't fully understand that last one: you mean that the Antivirus you have (if you have one) doesn't automatically check the files after dld? Norton does it (I mention the Autoprotect feature before). I don't know about others.

avg doesn't like so many, though it is a very good one better than anyother I know, that's why I think they should just make a part like that in options where you can select an antivirus to scan the files which you are downloading from limewire
