My favorite mouse until now is a Logitech Click! Optical mouse: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...CONTENTID=6906 No worry about batteries, well suited for my hand, simple design, very robust cord and only 30$ Can. Ciao

I should get one, and I shouldn’t have to. I hate not using a mouse that works. I cant bare to throw it out, or have it sitting their not being used. Also, I hate having to move a mouse from my tower to my laptop. I have a Powerbook 17”, so I don’t mind spending a lot of money when necessary, but in this case, it is not since every program has or should have an Edit menu. P.S. Contour makes a nice one for those of you with umm, big hands. |

The mouse I was refering to was locally designed & made & was not that much larger I suppose. But was larger than many made at that time. Well, ... as explained the menu exists. Just need to find it. Just like the buttons on the mouse. Perhaps the menu could be advanced more but that's for developments to come .. should it become a popular request. Physio .. like exercising the wrist using the mouse sometimes. Build up the strength in 'your' favoured hand. |

I'm still wondering why no one patented the optical moving extended keyboard: that would be one hell of a mouse with many buttons such as : qwertyuiop^ç1245 and many others!!!

hehe--good to see this annual request for the Edit menu again. I've asked around for while too, and apparently Java doesn't offer programmers such a cross-platform option yet (don't know about Java 1.5). So, java programmers are apparently waiting for the developers of Java to offer such functionality. Otherwise, each platform would need to write an Edit Menu which would be separate for each platform, with all the debugging and support writing separate platform-specific code would entail. Since the main keyboard commands (select all, copy, paste) have been implemented, it's been easy to copy results, file names, bug reports and all the other useful data. So, thanks to the devs for doing all they can: looks like they're making good use of the Pro support. Cough it up gfox: time to pay btw Sam: can we please have an Edit Menu? (and corrections to my misunderstandings will be appreciated too) |

well . . . I thought that was called a "contextual menu" on Macs. An Edit Menu would appear to the right of the File menu at the top of the screen, in the standard location all Mac apps have used since as far back as I can remember. Was I wrong about the difficulties of implementing a proper Mac edit menu? |
