These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. These off-topic posts may impede the normal operation of the forum. Edit posts. Moderators will edit posts that are offensive or break any of the House Rules. Delete posts. Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment. Three or more moderators or administrators must agree to the ban for this action to occur. Banning is reserved for very severe offenses and members who, after many warnings, fail to comply with the House Rules. Banning is permanent. Bans cannot be removed by the moderators and probably won't be removed by the administration. The Rules 1. Warez, copyright violation, or any other illegal activity may NOT be linked or expressed in any form. Topics discussing techniques for violating these laws and messages containing locations of web sites or other servers hosting illegal content will be silently removed. Multiple offenses will result in consequences. File names are not required to discuss your issues. If filenames are copyright then do not belong on these forums & will be edited out or post removed. Picture sample attachments in posts must not include copyright infringement. 2. Spamming and excessive advertising will not be tolerated. Commercial advertising is not allowed in any form, including using in signatures. 3. There will be no excessive use of profanity in any forum. 4. There will be no racial, ethnic, or gender based insults, or any other personal attacks. 5. Pictures may be attached to posts and signatures if they are not sexually explicit or offensive. Picture sample attachments in posts must not include copyright infringement. 6. Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other threads and see where your post will go. If your post is placed in the wrong forum it will be moved by a moderator. There are specific Gnutella Client sections for LimeWire, Phex, FrostWire, BearShare, Gnucleus, Morpheus, and many more. Please choose the correct section for your problem. 7. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. Keep in mind a forum censor may temporarily automatically hold up your post, if you do not see your post, do not post again, it will be dealt with by a moderator within a reasonable time. Authors of multiple copies of same post may be dealt with by moderators within their discrete judgment at the time which may result in warning or infraction points, depending on severity as adjudged by the moderators online. 10. Posts should have descriptive topics. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", and the like may not get enough attention to the contents. 11. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information. Don´t use eMail addresses in your nick. Reiterating, do not post your email address in posts. This is for your own protection. 12. Signatures may be used as long as they are not offensive or sexually explicit or used for commercial advertising. Commercial weblinks cannot be used under any circumstances and will result in an immediate ban. 13. Dual accounts are not allowed. Cannot explain this more simply. Attempts to set up dual accounts will most likely result in a banning of all forum accounts. 14. Video links may only be posted after you have a tally of two forum posts. Video link posting with less than a 2 post tally are considered as spam. Video link posting with less than a 2 post tally are considered as spam. 15. Failure to show that you have read the forum rules may result in forum rules breach infraction points or warnings awarded against you which may later total up to an automatic temporary or permanent ban. Supplying system details is a prerequisite in most cases, particularly with connection or installation issues. Violation of any of these rules will bring consequences, determined on a case-by-case basis. Thank You! Thanks for taking the time to read these forum guidelines. We hope your visit is helpful and mutually beneficial to the entire community. |

Suggestions... Hi everyone I am new and pleased to make ur aquaintence... I was wondering had anyone suggested such a thing as a wish list...whereby one can make a wish and it be placed on a list and if any of the users out there on Limewire or associated links can help obtain the video, music etc be located for download. I'm more into the older movies such as Hollywood's Golden Years i.e. "I married an Angel" i.e. Jeanette McDonald and the likes or similar. Another issue that bothers me particularly is when I key i.e. the move above name movie "I married an Angel" I get a list of porn movies. I am not a prude by any means and I accept that this type of entertainment is of demand but when I go looking for a decent bit of footage i.e. movie and this is what I am confronted with, I don't feel it's right. Why do they not put those links or those rude movies in another Folder completely...sorry if I am speaking out of turn... The other thing I find is there does not seem to be enough info on the downloads, descriptions etc... Thank you... Lilfairywren... Australia... |

A couple of hints: Movie download issues & also autogenerated spam results To find out about particular downlds use Bitzi. Right-click a search result & choose Bitzi lookup. To find out more about this use the search button above & type in Bitzi. Wishlist. I think that's been suggested before & is a good suggestion. Have you used the What's New search type to find new items being shared? |

Subtitles, language and burn.... Hi ev1, I last posted April 2005 so I thought I would give you a little work, no not really but I do need some help... I get all confused with sayings like bitz!! I'm a little old lady who wants it all in ABC talk, I do wish I was Einstein...but I am not... At the moment, I have downloaded a popular movie which is dubbed or subtitles if you wish to call it. I have tried to get rid of the Chinese (I think?) subtitles so I can see the movie properly... Also I would love to learn how to burn an avi movie wma onto disk so we can watch it on the television, but I do not know how to do that either...oh I am a Limewire Pro user too...not that it makes any difference, I just love the program so I purchased it... So if anyone can add light onto the subtitles and procedure, that would be excellent... Thanks to you all... Lil Australia... |

If there are subtitles on the movie and its just an .avi file then they are embedded into the stream and not easily removable (Probably possible, but whatever should be under them won't be) To make an .avi into a DVD you could try these steps (they are ABC ) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=64458 Bitzi is a database where people submit ratings and comments on various downloads. To find out if a download is rated high or maybe is just plain crap use Bitzi. Right-click a search result & choose Bitzi lookup. Find out more here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=57128 |

Bitzi The only way is reporting the file to bitzi and then commenting on it. Just remember just because a movie has subs, it not automatically a bad file. Some people might even prefer it with subs. Having said that. You just report the file. rate it after the quality of the rip, and then in comments say that it has embedded oriental subs. Go to http://bitzi.com and download the BitCollider. Install and open it. Then drag the file to it. It then analyses the file and submits the bitprint to the site. You then rate and comment on it. (Think you have to register at the site to comment) |

Bitz n pieces... Hi Sleepless... Thanks for all of your help, I did the burn off with Nero 7 which I purchased some months ago, or just when it was being released. I used an Imation DVD-R which says, 4 hours EP Mode and 2 hours SP Mode 4.7GB's and like you said, it did take a couple of hours but alas, it aborted itself and said I needed a bigger disk...Oh Lord...so I'm heading in the right direction but just gotta work out the disks...or maybe I didn't do it correctly though I did follow the yellow brick road, step by step...I dunno... Whaaaaat next Sleepless...??? Thanks ever sooooo much for your help - you are a wonderful person... Lil the dil... West Ozstralia... |

DVD Burning... Hello again Sleepless... I opened up Nero again, followed the first steps as suggested; (which by the way, the steps were ABC and very easy to follow...) Above the disk usage gauge or bar (whadya call it - lol) it said "Total spaced used 4.37 out of 4.38 used...Quality - Very Good" and I set it to DVD then followed through each step, so I would have thought there was definitely enough room...oh well I might need the dual then...cost and more cost...unless I did something wrong... Thanks again... Bye Lil |
