I hate wasting two days downloading a file only to find out later it's not what I thought/needed (or turns out to be something else).

Even more aggrevating is loosing all of your file descriptions after a full-bore crash because you can't backup the database.

But the greatest deterent to describing files is that changes take AGES on large files (add a Description to a file over 500Megs and see how long it takes to get control back of LW.)

I think more people would take the time to describe the files they are sharing if there was a separate utility for it.

PS: And on that note, please allow users to search files by Description so that every file doesn't need a 30-word filename.

You already can search by a description. Click 'audio' or 'video' in the search tab.
