![]() It will be really cool if file size filter had at least , at most features ie somethimes I am searching for a video and it finds hundreds of very small files that are not what I am looking for and they fill up all the search and I dont find what I was looking for . I will be nice if I can say I want files that are approximately 500MB and it finds files from 400MB to 600MB. or at least I can spesify a minimum and maximum acceptable file size |

![]() There is SO much SPAM garbage on the network. Some sort of free Ipod website. If I search for anything these guys have spammed the network with tiny little 38k files that are totally irrelevant to the 500MB file I am looking for. Is there any way to search for a "Filename" and then say it has to be ">200MB" for example? That way all these stupid spammers will be thwarted. I would definitely buy PRO if 1) I had the money ![]() Thank you. |

![]() I fully agree with you that this needs to be done immediately!! There should be several options instituted: In the preference of the program there should be an option to eliminate from the search outcome files that meet a certain size requirements. 2nd: One should have the ability to highlight several files at once and with one right click of the mouse block all the hosts that have those files. 3rd: If one result shows up but with 36 people that have it, at present we are only able to block one. We need the ability to block all. I hope LIMEWIRE is reading this!!! Lets put the class back into this program and give the users what they need. This should be top priority next to security. Everyone please voice your opinion and other features that you feel merit Limewire to change |

![]() Here's what I love (hate)... Ever notice you can't set a default sorting on your search results? What's it set for? The most number of files. What has the most number of files on the network? SPAM! Back in 2000 I think it was I ran the Gnutella program and it had a file size filter. IT'S AGE OLD TECHNOLOGY! Yet Limewire chooses not to implement such a useful feature into their program. Why? Because I bet they want people to see the spam, duh! I suggested almost a year ago these two requests and haven't seen anything remotely close to it happening. It would be my guess that some Limewire employee or owner actually runs this Ipod spam site and it's in his best marketing interest to not put these features into the program. It's only speculation but what other reason could Limewire have to not actually give the people who feed them something that they want that would be such a cinch to integrate. I wouldn't even bother to make these suggestions. It's obvious Limewire isn't going to implement them. The only time I actually run Limewire is when I go to bed because it's not even a computer friendly program. It freezes up everything and slows it down so much that I have to exit the program just to open up notepad or a browser window and not wait 5 minutes for the start menu to show. And this is on a 3Ghz P4 with 512mb of DRAM. No other program does this to my computer. I just had to shut it down to compose an email just 20 minutes ago. They hurt their own network by making such a retarded program. I share about 50GB of data that are no longer available to anyone because Limewire eats up too many resources. Shows how intelligent the Limewire programmers really are. And what the hell is this verifying file contents bullshit? It knocks half of the connections out plus the main connections to their network. Yes I’ve done the SP2 patch, blah blah blah. Why don’t you make the program compatible with common operating systems? That would just make too much sense… again. Don’t count on Limewire for sensible features here guys. Watch them delete this post, lol! |

Perhaps you should check again. Also, using the Resume/Find Sources function on many files simultaneously will have a slowing down effect on your computer, using up its resources & the bandwidth. Some people abuse this tool & then wonder why their computer & the net slows down. So imagine what effect it has on the gnutella network.

![]() It's different this time. That hijack virus made all connections to the internet shut down till I rebooted. Now it's still able to work and download but it slows down everything else. It also seems not be able to calculate the download speed either as each file can be downloading at less than 8kb/s (total of 10 DL) yet the total is over 2,500kb/s which is impossible, lol. Only it renders common usage of other programs virtually impossible unless I want to wait minutes for something that usually takes less than a second without limewire running. Last year I was running LW Pro 4.8 and it was ok, now 4.9 and it seems to be having these cyber behavioral traits. Even though I've scanned my system with multiple AV and Adaware tools and wiping my hard drive, still makes no difference. |

![]() BTW check point 4 I think it is, here WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! there still might be a resident file somewhere (possibly) or damaged files & also see point 5, & ask Norbie about getting your system back up into shape. This might be worth a read also: Rootkits *** WARNING ***
