Talking Recycle Bin Please!

I don't know if anyone suggested this but I'm gonna post it anyway. I think that a recycle bin in LimeWire would be a great feature because then if someone accidentally deleted a file, instead of it being completely wiped out it would go into the recycle bin so it could be retreived. What do all of you think of this feature?

It sounds like a good idea. I hate seeing people ask about how to get back files they've spent so much trouble & time downlding suddenly "gone"! I did ask about this here Changes to Delete function in LW Library though my request was just "something" to make them harder to delete. Your idea is better.

I had thought of it last night when I was in Windows Explorer cleaning out files that I didn't need anymore. When I first installed LimeWire I had also accidentally deleted some of my songs. I only had at the most 15 but it was a pain having to find them again. That's why I think a recycle bin would be a good idea so no one would have to go through that hassle.

Do you know that you can restart incomplete files? If your talking about when you delete the files from the limewire window, try exploring the folder, and then delete your files instead of just hitting delete in limewire. Then they will go to your recycle bin and you can restore them if needed.

Hi mntravier, I have a feeling you are going to contribute a good deal to the forums, but I must explain that this thread has been dormant for a few weeks, and the previous versions of Limewire had a feature that made it possible to delete completed files from the Limewire library and at the same time deleting them from the Hard drive totally without going to the trash/windows recycle bin.

Since the original posts, it seems as if this problem no longer exists.

Actually I'm quite familiar with the Incomplete folder. What I was referring to is if completely downloaded files from the library are accidentally deleted, they should go into a recycle bin so they are not permanently deleted. Does that make any sense?

Yes--make the delete button move the files to the trash or recycle bin.

Makes much more sense, and much less hassle than my suggestion.
