Default Closing Limewire down to a System Tray Icon

I would like to see Limewire collapse down to just an icon in the system tray area (windows, etc.) just like Yahoo or Windows Messenger. It keeps running but the window is closed down.

Maybe this can already be done and I haven't found a way to do it. It would be nice so I can share my files and not have a window running.

Is this possible?

Go to your Start menu >Settings>Task Bar & Start menu & click advanced tab & press the Add button & search for LW. Is that what you mean?

Else go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Shutdown & tick Minimise to System Tray & press apply button.

One of these should do the trick.

Or did I misunderstand you. Did you mean you want LW to be still functioning whilst it's in the tray. Then click the minus box (minimise) at the top right hand corner of LW.

Lord...

I still want LimeWire functioning. Pressing the (minus) button just minimizes the window. I want it to go to an icon in the System Tray, so if I really want to exit it, I'd have to right-click on the icon. Just like you do with Yahoo Messenger.

Well um .. I'm not a windows expert but wouldn't the technique i suggested 1st do that for you? (ie: customising your system tray)

yes it is the same, but there is now an option to keep LW in the tray at all times and it is available in the latest beta version.
