Angry I Want A Browser!!!!!!!

WHY CANT LIMEWIRE HAVE A BROWSER!!!!!!!!!

I've tried out as many p2p programs as I could find (limewire being my favorite by far) and none of them came close to limewire... except one. "ARES" The searching sucks (one at a time) the "settings" options are stupid and pointless and its overall-friendliness sucks. But, it has a browser! Not that it compares with Internet Explorer or Mozzilla Firefox, but its still there. Its incredibly easy to access and makes useing the internet so much easier (not to mention not having an extra window open) and in the case I need a second page it will open another window for me to view. Oh wad-du-yu-know another opertunity for limewire ti 1-up ARES. You've already got multiple tabs for searching, why not in a browser? If you ask me its the only thing keeping limewire from dominating in every aspect of p2p experience.

I'm not familiar with Ares, perhaps it is a Windows only application, which the majority of these things are

but I think you may have answered your own question: "ARES" The searching sucks (one at a time) the "settings" options are stupid and pointless and its overall-friendliness sucks. But, it has a browser! Not that it compares with Internet Explorer or Mozzilla Firefox, but its still there."

I gather from this that Ares have sacrificed a decent search function for a browser.
It seems to me that they are taking resourses from the p2p part of the application to make a second rate browser.

I regularly use Safari or Opera browser (Safari is Mac only) (IE is reserved for very rare emergencies).I have no problem with the two windows being open. The browsers are excellent, Limewire is excellent ( except for the mp3 player .. but it is better to use an external one ...Oh yes I have a third window .... iTunes of course. I can live with that

I also find that Opera (which is a browser, mail client and newsreader combined) occasionally does'nt like doing all that is expected of it, and putting extra features into Limewire might well have the same effect.

Thumbs down Browser In LimeWire

Spot on Hobo

Putting a browser into LW is a really naff idea, why pull away resources from the main product in order to incorporate a second rate browser. It makes no sense.

If your PC has the CPU power and the memory you can oper a browser and LW at the same time.

PS. At the moment LW (Pro) 4.9.28 is quite flaky, I would like to see that flakiness cured before going on wild goose chases.
