I would like to be able to have open chat with my fellow Limewire and Gnutella users. Most poeple keep there chat feature off or won't answer you. Also, when you do finally get some one to answer it feels like talking to a the guy in the bathrrom stall next to you or starting a discussion with the guy next to you at the porn theater. It would also bring new life to the platform and users will be on for longer amounts of time. And lastly everyone loves a good chat room, forums are so boring and not in realtime, that sucks I hate that. And lastly, the chatrooms should be user hosted so you guy don't have to use any of your servers.

If it is to be ip to ip then I kind of guess it has to go throught the servers???? but LW is primararily a file sharing application and whilst a chat feature, that actually works so that messages about faulty files and such can be efficiently sent, is essential, I think Limewire is not in business to supply a service that can be excellently be supplied by one of the applications above and others, which are also, of course free of any connection with Gnutella and Limewire.
