Filter out viruses by file size
 

I have been getting quite a few files containing viruses, and have noticed that some files that contain viruses all have the same file size. These sizes are 851.7 kb, 628.7, etc. Could you please include a more filters in the filter section of options to include file size? That would be great. Add anything else you can think of that allows people to filter out files they might not want searches to return. Please implement this. Thanks!

I fully agree with you that this needs to be done immediately!!

There should be several options instituted:

In the preference of the program there should be an option to eliminate from the search outcome files that meet a certain size requirements.

2nd: One should have the ability to highlight several files at once and with one right click of the mouse block all the hosts that have those files.

3rd: If one result shows up but with 36 people that have it, at present we are only able to block one. We need the ability to block all.

I hope LIMEWIRE is reading this!!!

Lets put the class back into this program and give the users what they need.

This should be top priority next to security.

i agree totally there is nothing like doing a search and seing dozens of files the same size 851k with all different names. how hard can it be to right click on the file and instead of blocking the source....block the file size... most sources do not know what is on thier systems. i hate to block the source, because the file is on dozens of sources. to list by file size is not a real answer either. lw should listen up. i am sure that these files are generated by/at all levels. music and movie industry not exempted. try searching for anti virus find the file that is not 851k. perhaps if we had this filter , we would not be feeding the spread of unsafe/unwanted files.................

If you'd had a look thru this section you'd see a no. of requests for the same thing ... a couple of such threads having polls you can vote to. I believe a spam filter of sorts will be coming our way in one form or another eventually. I don't know exactly when but as far as I'm concerned asap would be better than not at all. This one is going to be better than a simplistic size filter. But don't hold your breath for the time being. Be patient!

In the meantime, double-click the top of the Size column of your search results to show the largest files at the top of the list. See Arrange search results by size (click on link)
