Things AI would like to see in the next Limewire I would like to be able to permenantly ignore people who do not share or I am not able to browse. I would also like to be able to permenantly ignore people who have files I do not agree with, porn etc.:( |
Keep in mind, the browse function is not perfect. Sometimes you can't browse someone b/c there's not the spare bandwith & slots for them or you. eg: 1. I've attempted to unsuccessfully browse someone who had chat enabled I was downlding from. 2. I've attempted to browse someone & got zero results in the browse even though the search succeeded. Just an empty window. 5 mins later I tried again & got 50 odd results. 10 mins later I tried to browse again & got over 600 results for that same user. Browse cannot be used to determine whether someone is sharing or not because there's too many factors that affect whether the browse is successful or not. You can ban someone with porn. But some people share porn because they know it's popular, not necessarily because they agree or are interested in it. They might just want to have popular uploads. Some people who share porn often have those very rare other files such as audio or video. Also some people have porn because they've accidentally downlded it without checking their downlds & shares for some time. Just a thought. |
firstly I would like to say I think Limewire is fantastic.I know it would be pretty impossible to set up but I would love to be able to preview things before I download them. Most stuff is great but have downloaded a couple of bummers. This is just a wish not a future expectation. It would make Limewire perfect though:p |
But as well as using Preview ... don't forget about Bitzi lookup to see if there's any user feedback about the particular file. That will help to find if the file's ok or not. How to use Bitzi Web Lookup ... (Click on link) |
i also think it would be nice to preview stuff before u download it i know that u can do that in itunes so i think LimeWire can do it and i also think it should have an auto resume download and i know that can be done because WinMX has it other than that i think LimeWire is the best thing out there. |
