New Feature Requests Your idea for a cool new feature. Or, a LimeWire annoyance that has to get changed. |

Sometimes when I'm doing searches i find zip files for example that are 0.0kb with the exact same file name as the virus containing files. It's strikes me funny because the setup file was probably deleted within the archive file yet not deleted from their computer. Out of curiousity and bordom I downloaded it and there was nothing in the file, lol. |

It's simple Limewire has REFUSED to implement these features after years of requests from hundreds of users to allow File Size Filters and to unanimously Block/Flag Bogus Files and Users. Kazaa and Gnutella used to have File Size Filters years ago. It's not rocket science. But it's becoming very clear that Limewire is in cahoots with these spammers and is profitting from spreading their spam. If they would just take the high road and give Pro users these spam options, their sales would skyrocket. But no, it's evidently far more lucrative to spam us and leave innocent people vulnerable to viruses by denying us such filters. Way to wallow in the slime. |

it's not about sales do some looking try limegroup.com next do the math, LW is a either in looking to loose millions in possible legal run-arounds or they have a plan... I don't know what it might be but it sure as sh!t ain't selling software and ad space on it... think about it... talk about putting "pete" on the choping block ware do you from here... you have this potentenial technoligy - but you have the entertainment industry wanting to see you under a bus -- and who has the biggest influance on and can flex that muscle ... the entertainment biz... it's like chewing your leg off before you got it stuck in the trap... and of course if the poop should hit the fan, your other companies even though legally they can't be touched, the court of public trust already has your space on the gallows row so why... why is it here... why so much possible bigtime legal spotlight, I would just like to see the "Magnet Links" exist, think how cool it could have been if thier was a way to search engine the web for that ok -- real guess only please... its can't just be so simple |

You know I have used allot of different P2P software and Networks in my time. Every P2P network has 2 things in common #1 Spam #2 viruses some of the less popular file sharing nets have less than the more popular ones do the math. Fewer users = less crap. More users = more crap. It has nothing to do with money it is # of users. If I were a spammer or virus righter and I had half a brain I think I would attack the place that had the most potential targets. Those type of statements show just how intelligent some people are. It is just like people say Norton sucks because it misses to many viruses. Yet I have found that all Anti Virus software misses viruses. The problem is Norton got to be #1 by being the best out there more features easier to use etc. So what happened well lets see once again #. If I wrote a virus I think I would try and right one that would disable the #1 Anti virus out there that way I could attack the largest # of Targets. It seems that allot of people would rather believe that there are all these conspiracies going on out there rather than sit down and think something through intelligently. Oh well if you want to go through life thinking the world is out to destroy you go ahead. I myself will keep on moving forward on the path of life and deal with thing as they come. And I guarantee you I will not whine and cry because of a little spam or viruses on a file sharing network I will just use a little common sense and avoid them. Keep up the good work LimeWire Developers you have made the fastest most efficient file sharing software out there by paying attention to what is important for the software. Not what a few people were whining and crying about because they did not have the intelligence to avoid the inevitable. |
