Blocking malicious sites that host trojans and viruses is the most requested improvement users ask for. It not practical to ask Lime Wire to do the actual blocking for numerous reasons but it would be easy for them to allow the users to block file sizes on their computers by adding this capability to the filter menu. Why Lime Wire doesn’t respond to this simple modification/improvement request is a mystery as it would eliminate the single biggest problem facing their users today. In the mean time avoid downloads with the following file sizes: 134.4 kb, 851.7 kb & 628.7 kb as the first is a trojan and the last two viruses.

Also when you do a search and it comes back with numerous “Host” site listing one of the above viruses or Trojan it doesn’t mean that numerous users downloaded and have this in their file sharing databases. These are all phony randomly generated “Host” sites created by these programmers using special designed software to mimic. You can prove this to yourself by searching for some nonsensical string of letters which have no meaning and most times it will display “hits”. Blocking the file size would solve this problem.
