I'd like an AKA balloon

There are so many identical files out there called all different names, when you mouse-over a filename I'd like the file info balloon to include a list of names that the file is 'also known as' if possible. The system can find the files so why can't it gather all the various filenames as well?

That's not a bad suggestion! I guess one of the only ways to find alternative names at the moment is searching it on Bitzi.

At least you'd be able to see at a glance if the file you're about to click on is really just another stupid porno or worse - advertising for a web-site.
The label as junk option is OK but one's man's junk is another man's treasure. If a file show's a list of the various names it is called by, you cut off the tricksters at the knees.

One problem, probably without a solution, is that people simply do not know what they have downloaded! I constantly find files such as "Sealed with a kiss" (which was recorded by Brian Hyland) attributed to "Bobby Vee", "Bobby Vinton", "Gene Pitney", etc. .... all of whom never recorded a version of that song. There are literally tens of thousands of mis-attributed song titles one will run across in a search. It is easy to ignore that type of error, but when there are versions of a song actually recorded by more than one artist/group, and you are looking for artist X, it is perturbing to start a download, and find it is by artist Y ( or Z ...) instead of the rarity one is looking for.

Bitzi (which I have never used) was mentioned as a resource; would Bitzi sort out that type of problem?

How to use Bitzi Web Lookup ... (click on link) You can try it out for yourself. That's "if" the file you're after has been commented upon & exists on their database for user feedback. But it's very handy when it is listed there. You can also use their search function to see what comments there have been about other files & what other names these files might be known under.

On using Limewire tonight, I'm seeing the very thing I asked for.... Did that really get solved in less than 24hrs or did I miss something??? Whatever - THANKYOU.
