New Feature Requests Your idea for a cool new feature. Or, a LimeWire annoyance that has to get changed. |

![]() Limewire is the best P2P system - thanks guys! However, four essential changes are needed (in my opinion). Encryption - invisible to users but ISPs will not know what you are uploading/downloading. ( I believe this is in the works) Sharing files discloses your IP address at present - this is extremely worrisome- so please NO IP BROWSING! - The existing browse on search file result feature needs to be modified to browse all shared files from same host without disclosing the IP address. This hiding of the IP goes a long way towards stopping the host getting prosecuted for sharing. This alone will increase the selection of files for download a thousandfold as disclosing the IP address is a major reason why many users are not sharing files. Similar feature needed for monitoring uploads - if a person is not sharing any files you can then kill the persons upload as at present- but without seeing the IP address. If I see a child porn title - I need to be able to re-classify the file as child porn. If a set number of people do this (say 30 diferent users) then this will appear in the search result as child porn - so it can be filtered out. The same principle could apply for purposefully misnamed files, adult files etc. Similarly - if a file has a wrong title I should be able to put an alternate title for that file in the search result for that file- alternate titles could then replace the ad bloated bitzi. To clarify - each resulting file on a search could optionally show alternate titles submitted by other users as a sub level under each file title. Thanks for reading this Cheers Happy Joe |
