please consider this one ...

We have considered implementing this a number of times, and Sun has been trying to get us to do this for ages! We have not done it yet mostly because we no longer have any control over when to update the program as well as other quirky errors we were getting with Web Start on different platforms.

We may do it at some point nevertheles -- it is very useful in updating the java version.
