v.17 had this but 18 doesn't!

Agree....used to find that info valuable in knowing # of files available and whether to add/remove hosts

Please put it back at the bottom and remove the irritating ad banner............the flashing is more than irritating

The stats reported with earlier versions were horribly inaccurate. LimeWire 1.9 (as of the time of this writing, it is still in beta form) provides more accurate statistics. However, when connected to an ultrapeer, it drops all of it's other connections and remains connected to the ultrapeer only. There is no longer any need for statistics since you are part of a much larger network than the older, fragmented Gnutella.

If you really want to get rid of the banner ad, download the "Other" Operating System off of LimeWire.com. It doesn't have this banner built-in. Or you could compile your own version of LW with source from LW.org. Or, you might even use the cracks below that I have so graciously provided.
