Import Download Cue from Text File Im not sure if there is a way a to allready do this. I would like to have a plain text file with files I would like to search for. Then tell LimeWire to read text file and start searching for that file. *Maybe even take first found file source with 10plus users and auto download that file, then close that search tab. HAHA~! Riiiiiiiight This would greatly help people who download tons of stuff instead of having to search for ONE FILE AT A TIME... http://www.enigmawebdesign.com/project.gif Think about it... |
Very Good Idea Stevef22 You have suggested a very good idea and I hope that the LW programmers incorporate it into LW. However, may I make an addition to your idea, and that is: a) The text program that could be used, where LW can read the files name from, should be Notepad and whatever the MAC equivalent it. b) If there is an error with reading a file name from Notepad LW should not crash but move on to the next file name or, if this is not possible, just continue uploading and downloading it's current workload. c) If a file you are trying to download hits the dreaded "Awaiting Sources" then LW should discard that file and move on to the next one on the list. I have some more ideas but this should be enough to start with. Hope this helps. UK Bob |
I'm also still looking for this feature.. It would make downloading much easier.. |
I agree! :yahoo: Without saying an intelligent naming system is needed to encourage healthy songs/files. If LimeWire was open source we could create an addon to fulfill this capacity!!! Just a single modification for multiple searches within the existing LW search box is a large and daunting task for the LW team. A simple comma “,” or special character to separate songs would enable this function. http://www.enigmawebdesign.com/one1.png http://www.enigmawebdesign.com/one2.png Why haven’t they done this feature above? Is this because this has no real control? User must still manually select songs from tabs. Few searches/tabs are allowed? Oh well… just rambling on. Back to original idea of using editor (Notepad, TextPad) to import an intelligent cue sheet. |
