Limewire was supposedly released as a universal binary in early 2006, but the app is recognised as PowerPC on Intel Macs. I tried running the Limewire.jar file inside the package, and i must say it's MUCH faster than running the app itself.(except its icon is a coffee cup and its name is com.limegroup.gnutela.gui.Main) This is annoying because it gave the impression that Limewire was extremely resource-hungry, when it could have been a quiet app. I don't see why this wasn't fixed before and I hope a LimeWire programmer notices this before the next release.

LimeWire is an Universal Binary. In fact it's not possible to run LimeWire in the Rosetta emulation. Apple's QA1295 may answer some of your questions.
