Spam!!!!!! Whats up with all the spam when i am seaching for a song? Such as: -steven spielberg gets a hilarious prank phone call -01 track 1, track 9, ect. -********mp3.com any way to stop that stuff from coming up???? |
Unfortunatley the network is full of it....Check this sticky out it has some great tips on searching and recieving good results...:rolleyes_2: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...highlight=spam |
Yeah i get that too! Its very ....! And blocking terms dont work at all... Well, it do work... for a little bit... only the filename... but the comment... 'Not Related To: (The name that u were searching for)'... dont block... I tried to block 'Not Related To', but its not checking the comment... So they still showed up... Also the Filesize, i had a file in downloadlist... only it needed more sources... i searched for the name + filesize... but filesize became filename aswell... |
Did you try just blocking related and not not related to It's enough to block one word. Actually it's more effective to block one word than a sentence. Not that I know if it blocks it or not, because I have never seen that comment |
I get that spam to. This is not a real file. Let's just say i'm looking for coca cola. I just made up a filename so it's not copywrited. At the top it will show files like track one. Or stuff saying steven spielberg gets a prank phone call. And one the comments for all the songs it says '' Not related to the coca cola''. Since that's what I searched for. It's so annoying!!!!!!! |
1 Attachment(s) Actually I have seen them as well, this is an example of a search for a popular artist here in Oz....All the fake crap stays at the top and then you have the genuine after it..... Attachment 3218 03 track 3 will say not related to...and then the artists name... So maybe just use the word track.... |
The same thing happens as wondering why explained. |
It's really strange because you can rearrange by comment. Can't really see why the keyword filter won't filter them if Limewire notices them. @WW From the screenshots I see these are .wma files, so block .wma like I have told everyone thousands of times now No wonder these results don't show in my searches ;) There is a list of words and extensions to block in the thread you pointed to |
|
It's totally pissing me of that so few people vote for these various improvements to happen. They come here to the Gnutella Forums crying about this doesn't work and that should be done. Is it really to much to ask that they register at www.limewire.org , vote and maybe even comment on why this is important. Maybe... Just maybe the developers would actually listen then. |
