Better Search Results I just upraded to Limewire Pro expecting better search results, but was sorely disappointed. Wouldn't it make more sense to filter out *everything* unless the title or description contains certain keywords prescribed by the user instead of having to filter out *everything* that does not interest the user? If this is not possible, then there should be some way to match peers by particular interests. |
Like the thousand comments, "Comments: Not related to:"your search"" that it returns. How about turning off comments in search. I just did a quick search for a local band and got 459 results of which 458 were not related to my search. If Pro does not fix it lets not have anyone else waste there money!! |
I am also sick off 99% of search results that have nothing to do with my search. If I wanted to hear about bill gates getting pranked I would have asked for it. LW Pro is a big let down. Search results worse, download speeds no different. Get it fixed LW or we're off. And dont try to charge me for the fix. I've wasted enough money!!!!! |
Sure, it'd be better if LW would only show results that were related to your searches; but there's more that could be done. When it comes to finding rare songs it would be better if LW could automatically connect to hosts that carry those songs. It's aggravating for some I know when you search for a certain song title and only get the junk results. This has probably been stated before, but it would also be nice to not always have to click on "Get More Results" for every search pass. LW should automatically initiate a second, third, fourth, etc pass when the first ends. Here's something else that's probably been stated before, but LW should filter out results that require more sources. I've seen the following symbol in a post: _-_( but do you have to put the numbers in there or does LW already know what to filter out? LW is the best! With great ideas and suggestions it can only get even better - just be patient and allow the creators to have time to consider the suggestions that are made here. Thank you members for being the LW sounding board and for the tips you've provided for me and other users, Andrew Perkins |
