![]() Couldn't limewire just monitor the connection speeds and set the upload rate accordingly, or ask what kind of a connection a user has and use that to create the limits. Eg, if a user selects '56k modem' the upload speed would be lowered, but the download speed could also be capped to the limits of that kind of connection. That would even things out for people who try to share less, as by choosing 'modem' they lower both their upload and download rates.. Edit: The current controls in the "options" menu could still be used, with 100% of download/upload bandwidth reflecting the amount of the maximum abilities of chosen connection type, and vica-versa, though upload limits obviously bottoming out at a respectable amount before they become too low dependant on the connection meh.
