Angry Ultrapeer is the worst

Get rid of the ultrapeer thing. No one can use Limewire like it was before. with only one connection, what good does that do? version 1.7 was the best and should be kept. the only other thing to do is to make the load up faster.

Default 1 host is the point

the point of the ultrapeer is to have only 1 host so that your bandwith isnt wasted with network traffic and can be dedicated to uploads/downloads.

I admit that the ultrapeers are not fully optimized yet but when they are you will get much better search results and better downloads. So just give them a chance.

Exclamation Ultrapeer, Progress, and Limewire Pro

Processes similar to Ultrapeer are utilized by other file-sharing networks, such as by the protocol now in use by Kazaa or Morpheus; they are very effective and allow for very efficent peer networks. At the present moment, however I find it an inconvience. I think, that you should also have control options for users to utilize the current Gnutella infastructure while you develop this model further (at the very least this should be done for the Pro customers!).

Default check out 2.1.0

We're convinced that ultrapeers are the way of the future. It's just taking a little tweaking to get it working right. LW 2.1.0 beta might just make you happy.

The early Ultrapeer technology was a little slow, but LimeWire version 2.1.0 and 2.1.1 has finally gotten it down a little better. Definitely faster and better search results.

The early versions with Ultrapeers actually slowed my connection down. When I would disable Ultrapeers, it sped back up. But the newest versions are much better.
