Added options for uploaders Hey. I'm suggesting more options for uploaders. Currently there are only three options when you right click on a user downloading off you. These are: Kill Upload, Chat With Host, and Browse Host (and Clear Inactive at the bottom, but I won't count that). I believe LimeWire should have more functions to it, more like the Downloads screen. I reckon there should be priority settings, blocking users, isolating users so only that person can download that file (with maybe some time margins or whatever) Stuff like that. And if you want to know why I'm suggesting this, I have a reason or two. See, at this moment, I made a ZIP file to send to a friend that is too large to send any other way. Email is out of the question, as is sending it via a Messenger service (I use MSN). The ZIP file, by the way, is over 200MB. So my friend and I decided to use LimeWire to transfer it. He has a firewall, so I can't Direct Connect or anything like that to him...I've never even used Direct Connect. Anyway, he's downloading off me, right. But there's all these other people who are trying to get it off me too, slowing everything down, and sometimes he is put on hold so someone else can get it...it's a real bother. That's why I'm suggesting those options I've mentioned above; Priority selection, Booting users, 1 to 1 transfer...maybe some others, if the creative minds that made LimeWire can think of more. I hope these suggestions will make it through to the staff, who will consider them, because these options will be pretty handy! I'd love to hear your opinions and replies to this, so feel free to express yourself! Even if you agree with me! Sincerely, ||:---:|SPiTfiRE|:---:|| |
Try it this way go to your Blocking host part in your options you can block every one but him let him be the only one to log on to your pc but you will need his Ip number to add to your add friend host part. |

Any ideas on how to find the IP address? We're not sure looking at a website that apparently gives you your IP works, because we use firewalls and maybe it won't give us the correct one. Any ideas on how to retrieve the actual IP address? And also, are the instructions about Filtering correct? Thanks! |
