Youre right . In 1.4.0 they did not only introduce Cut & Paste but also did an overall maintenance of all components . For example : They revised the entire networking component . If you are into P2P using JAVA that alone should urge you to upgrade . Besides I don't know why all these people are making a fuss about it . It's free ! You can download it freely . They even changed the license agreement so you can burn it onto a CD and give it to your frends ! (Wich you already do but now it's really legal OK ?) |

If i was limewire i would add a find more hosts (multisource downloading). The multisource downloading that is in there now isnt good enough, i think there should be a mouse click option, like right click find more sources, this would help download speed. Secondly, i would kill the whole limewire player, we dont need it for the osx version and maybe even the 9 version because of iTunes. |

I didn't say that cut&paste was impossible under 1.3.1 . You can always write your own code to support it . But since 1.4.0 it is nativly supported so it will work in any Java program . Even if it was not written to support it . |

my two cents 1. browse host computer!!! 2. display time remaining (or some approximation) in download section 3. when choosing "search again" don't get rid of previous search results 4. don't bother improving mp3 player, adding video, etc..., dedicated media players=much better IMHO |

An integrated mediaplayer is a huuuge task to implement. 1) Java is probably not the appropriate for that. 2) The whole LimeWire team could easily spend one or two years on the media player before it worked decently. I think you should rather get an extra player software instead of limewire as a media player. |
