Brandan, try clicking Refresh in the Library section after making changes. That should reload all the shared files.
That will probably do it. I completely forgot about the library tab.

I can't check right now, though. I shut down yesterday and haven't been able to load past the "Upgrade to Pro" dialog since then. Error is:

Assertion failed: (lock & JAWT_LOCK_ERROR) == 0, file CBanner.cpp, line 36

I'll keep hacking unless someone can tell me what's changed.

You can select your shutdown option from Tools/Options/Shutdown
Yes, but if I want the ability to minimize to the system tray, then both the default close button in the top right and the "Close" function of the file menu will minimize, and then I have to shutdown through the context menu of the system tray icon. I just think there should be an "Exit" function available to shut down the application regardless of the selection of the above option. This is infinitesimally trivial, but maybe the developers could knock it out one afternoon when things are moving slowly. Or maybe I'll get the source sometime.

Thanks,

Brandan L.

There are occasions where I am looking for a given song by a given artist... I have found that typos and outright misspelling cause results to be erratic... so if I know the song is by say, Jackson Browne, I do a 'net' search for Jackson Browne and the would be able to search/filter the results for the song or fragment of song.
i'd like a retine search option too. possibly on the tab down like repaet search add 'refine search '
can remind us why and or " " & - [not] can't be used or added

example: b**tles *or* W*ngs *not* cover
*"J*t Plane"*

just an idea using *'s to enclose the meta-words

*and* must have both
*or*
*not*
*[* *]*

any comments welcome... hey trying to help...

Exclamation NO to video player

I think that even the built in mp3 player/library is a waste of time. Other programs are available which will organize/play your files, and they do it better than Limewire.

A program shouldn't try to be a jack-of-all-trades. Limewire should concentrate on downloading files and that's all. Time spent on other things is time not spent improving the p2p client,
and that's bad.

Trying to be all things to all people is impossible, you'll just end up mediocre in all categories.

Totally agree. Limewire should concentrate on *downloading files* and nothing more.

avi.........media player
mov......quicktime
mpeg....media player
wav......mediaplayer

etc, etc

Its been requested before but I want to add my voice;
BRING BACK NUMBER OF HOSTS!!!!!
I bought Limewire Pro (back when it was $15 I might add), but have since reverted to an older version specifically so I could have this feature.
It makes no sense to start a search if you haven't even connected to anyone!

The network topology doesn't allow for LimeWire to calculate the number of hosts you can reach anymore.

Default number of hosts

i use my most recent version and only get number of host by going to statistics. it is there, but a prolbem to get to. real hassle.
limewire CAN determine number of currently connected hosts.
some folks it would seem really want people to rather not consider that... but then these could be the same ones that gave certain individuals bots to spam other users... can't tell how many are on without a hassle, somebody(s) got a bot(s) that takes qeries and renames spam files as those query parameters .

hey, if it can't measure why do older versions do it, and if ya twist your way through it statistics tells you?

why not just put it up front?

are the guys who got the bots paying limewire? if not why not?
they spam the network, they might as well compensate limewire...

1. we can get our own players/viewers/etc
2. we want number of host
3. we want browse host shared files
4. i for one am sick of bot spammers
5. anyway to block out certain ip's from search results [currently only blocks chat - i would like to give those twits a piece of my mind.]
