Why no LimeWirePro 'filter by size' option?

Hi all, I'm a newbie on this forum. This is my first posting.

I was wondering why LimeWirePro cannot filter out searches by file size. It would be so convenient to just discard everything that fitted onto a floppy disc, for example. That would save endless junk from appearing in every search, junk which is usually around 197K in size. Also it would save typing in row after endless row of 'keyword' filters. That isn't an optimal approach to eliminating trash, since there is always something that gets through the net. Limewire Pro should have a filter-by-size option at least - pro being pro and not por. I recall that eDonkey (the God of P2P file sharers IMHO) had the option to filter results by size.

Having said that, perhaps it does have that feature, and I'm just a total novice! Does anybody know if you can somehow filter results by file size in LimeWirePro (ie v4.14.8)?

It's been requested so so many times. I myself requested it a few years ago. But LW feels if they start using such a filter, then spammers will simply increase the size of spam. But I believe it has more uses. Phex uses a size filter.

It could STILL get a filter if somebody in particular knew how to code one and did so and released their beta of it... Not likely, but slightly more probable than LW doing it.

another idea

I also had an idea that if limewire and other peer to peer or gnutella net could make it so you can purchase the license for the music and/or movies of course with out invading your privacy but just to give you that option wishfull thinking :wasntme::D
