Default Probably too late for 4.0, but....

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Enable .ape as a viewable filetype by default!

A "Resume all incomplete" button.

Extend the status icons to within the incomplete folder.

Automatically delete incomplete files that are corrupted with CORRUPT in their name.

Saved search buttons so I can Re-search for files I'm always typing in.

Drop down sort by menus for the downloads window. To determine which statuses are shown above others.

A better speed sort algorithm, like the new one in XP that takes into account more than the first digit in the number- so 25 will be above 4.

A pause (down/uploads) button.

An option to allow smaller filesizes to be uploaded before the big ones, and place faster transfers before the slower ones.

I see 10 or so connections in my upload queue, and wonder if since these are active connections sitting in my pipe, it would be beneficial if there were an option to limit the size of the upload queue. I must say, however, that I don't notice a change in speed on any active transfers, so I don't know if the feature would even be necessary.

Salut, I'll only say that LW has so much room to improve, it'll go to LW 16 before it is near perfection (perfection in impossible in a program f the size of LW), but as it is LW 4.0 will be damn good. Keep in mind your suggestions, some of them might likely be include in later versions, it's only a matter of time. I think I'll create a LW 4.1 feature requests thread once 4.0 is final so LW devs have one thread to read to see suggestions. The more we suggest the more LW will improve, I've learned to be patient in the LW developpment

A LimeWire 4.1 feature request thread would be excellent. I was just going to suggest that someone start such a thread.

The feature list in 4.0 is now closed. The sources have been marked with 4.0.0 labels, meaning that only critical bugs (or installer issues) will be fixed now. The final version will be 4.0.1 or 4.0.2, but there will be no major change now.
All new features will go to another release, whose experimentation will start in 4.1 betas (in parallel with bug fixes in the 4.0 branch if there's an emergency to do this for the downloadable released version), for a official release in a few months in a next 4.2 or 5.0 version.
