I've got the icon on my status bar below. That means it's working as expected. Is that corrrect? The phex site says something about a globe which I don't have.

Please click the icon and then look into the lower left part of the Phex window.

The globe should be there.

The new Phex default icon set shows no globe anymore. It show two plugs either connected like in your case, connected with a fire in case you seem to be firewalled, and apart in case not connected.
