phex won';t let me d/l it (Mac OSX) I tried to cllick on phex for OSX but the arrow turned into a vertical line, meaning I couldn't d/l it AT ALL! What to do? (When/if someone tells me how to gey it- WHAT do I do w/ it after it['s on the gesk top- double-click to get it in the dock?) |
Do you mean you went here: Phex - Download clicked the link for OSX and the download didn't start? Else: Just work with it like with any other MacOSX program: Move to Applications folder to keep, doubleclick to start, after started ctrl-click the dock icon (which then shows) and select "keep in dock" to keep it in dock. |
Couldn't even click on it decause cursor became vertical line Quote:
Otherwise, how do I move app fom desktop to Applications folder? I know what to do once it's there, but thanks for the clear explanation. :) How's the weather there? I'm in southern Indiana, USA + it's hot, humid and sunny. |
Try it directly using sourceforge: SourceForge.net: Files Try selecting a different mirror in case the auto selected mirror fails. |

It's that simple on a Mac :) |

And no installation necessary, as Arne suggests, just drag & drop to your prefered location (eg: applications folder). :) I have a question about OSX firewall, does PHEX need to be re-added for each new version of Phex? (particularly if older versions still exist on the computer.) That's the impression I have. |
It might be, that Phex has to be re-added for each new version. I'm not perfectly sure how I implemented it... It's been some time since I had my own Mac... (my old one belongs to my wife, now). You can check it easily, though: Ctrl-click on the application icon and "show its contents" (or such, terminology might have changes). Most info should be in the "info.plist" It's how I did it in the first place... Best wishes, Arne |
