i love limewire been using it since it first started up back in 2009 and sadly it pass away in 2010 then i heard a group of modders made a new limewire took out all the viruses supposedly but then again it change and wasnt working again now id like to know if 1. does it uses the same service as the orignal limewire and 2. does it still run and can it run on newer modern computers if so how?

Yes it runs on the same network.

LimeWire Pirate Edition 5.6.2 (LPE) based off the LW 5.6.1 beta was released late 2010, then WireShare became the newer generation of the program in 2014 ironing out several bugs in the earlier version (LPE).

If the LimeWire program complains about Java when you definitely have Java installed, then use LimeStart to startup the program. LimeStart helps solve the Java problem whilst simultaneously preventing the connection file being deleted if LimeWire has not been used for 28 or more days.
