Smile RE: Files With Viruses

Hello All:
I downloaded a few files tonight and as usual scanned them after I was finished downloading. One of them turned out to have a W95 Virus which even the most uptodate Norton Antivirus could not fix, so I deleted the file. This was a Broderbund Home Architect 4 Program from Internet address 24.31.***.**. I feel that people who post virus laden programs should be banned. You can be sure that this IP address will be in my deny list. Do the moderators of Limewire do anything about these creeps. I hate to waste my time downloading a large file only to have to delete it. And God Forbid and help those people who run these programs without checking them first. Any files I download that contain a virus, worm, trojan horse will have their IP addresses posted by me as I make it a habit to copy the IP address I am downloading from. And if these are innocent people who downloaded the file they should have checked it out first after they downloaded it before leaving it in their shared file. Happy Downloading to All !!!!!
P.S. I just checked and the Idiot with the W95 Virus is still on there with his infected file.

There are no LimeWire - moderators. And posting ip addresses is not really helpful, since you don't know if it's dynamic, and by blocking it, all you'd do is deny all incoming connection attempts by this host.

Moreover, you don't really know whether this host was spreading a contaminated file on purpose or just by accident. Maybe the person behind that host didn't have time to check the file yet, or it is too dumb to use a virus scanner.
