File Extensions I recently downloaded *** that had sit as its file extension. What type of file is this? What do I need to open it? Where can I get info on the different file extensions? I know the usual ones that one would see in the windows environment, but there are several that are beyond me. |
.sit Files This is the extension originally used by the compression and archiving program called Stuffit, most often used on the MacIntosh/Apple family of computers. |
Another nifty Link Try here for loads of info- http://helpdesk.uvic.ca/how-to/excha...oding/sit.html Be sure to wonder around and see what else is on offer. It is the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, helpdesk. |
Thanks for the info. I downloaded the stuffit program only to find out that it is a MAC copy of *** |
