Default JVM vs JRE

OK, hi there, I have this problem/question, someone please help:

I have this JRE Java thingy installed so LimeWire can run. But I also use a program called Go2Call, to make calls overseas practically for free, and it cannot run with the JRE thing. Their support told me that I need to uninstall the JRE thingy, and install JVM by Microsoft - which I think is the Java Virual Machine by Microsoft. Now, on the JVM download page, (http://www.microsoft.com/java/vm/dl_vm40.htm) Microsoft says that once installed, their JVM thingy cannot be uninstalled. So what I want to know is this:

If I get rid of the JRE thingy and istall this JVM thingy, will LimeWire still work, same as before?

thanx,
- Zoltan
