close search

is there any way to close a search after its there?
i tried clicking the "x" in the left corner, but it didn't work. help? :( don't insult me! :-/

It is unclear to me as to what you are asking. Normally clicking on the x on the tab for a given search will close it... you can also right-click on the tab and select close from the menu. I hope that helps.
