Yes only other LimeWire 2.5.3 users are accessible trough the Browse Host function and that is because the LimeWire team wants it to be more stable then the previous Browse Host function was. And the reason LimeWire takes forever to start up the first time is because it are Hashing all your files(attaching alphanumerical characters to them so that they can be identifyed as identical over the network when they gets duplicated and are available trough multiple sources hovewer this is not yeat implimented in the Requery Sent function so it is mainly a function for the future).The next time you start it up it will acctually start up slightly faster then the old version did especially like in your case you have alot of files in the Shared directory.
