![]() Hi, I have been using Limewire pro 2.4.3 with good results. I installed pro 2.5.5 and set up the same (2.4.3) directories and files as shared. In the 'library' tab I noticed that some of my files (the larger ones) do not appear at all. What gives? Am I doing something wrong, is this a bug, or did some sneaky person decide to impose size limits on the world? Thanks, Ken |

![]() Have patience. Version 2.5.5. of LimeWire includes a hashing feature. Each of the files you share is hashed (a number is created that is close to unique for the file - this has a number of uses). The hashing process is a bit slow, more so for large files. A file will only appear in your library once it has been hashed - so if you wait a little longer, LimeWire will list the files that it has not yet listed. LimeWire /could/ do it faster - but it has been deliberately set up not to use all your processor power during the hashing process. Mark |
