Question 45 seconds for a 105 MB file?!?!?!?!

hey everybody, I downloaded a video file that was 105 megabytes. When I lauched the file in Quicktime it only plays for 45 seconds. I have another file this size that is 25 minutes long. What is going on, why does it only play for 45 secs??????

video files vary greatly depending on the compression ratio they were saved with. along with audio quality and frames per second,and aspect ratio (wxh). you are right seems extreme, but probably not impossible.

There's a good chance the file is corrupt. There are some file fixers around if you do a search.

If it is an AVI(divx) file there is a fixer in the Nimo Codec pack (do a LimeWire search for Nimo codec).

If it is an MPEG - There's a good chance the rest of the file is blank (somebody sharing a file which didn't complete download).
