Lets play, "Name that tune!"

Does anybody know the song that goes, " All I need, is just a little more time, to be sure, what I feel. Is it all in my mind, because it seems so hard to beleive, that your all I need..."

The song is All I Need by Jack Wagner

How many points do I get?

Luckily I'm blessed with a photographic memory where I've stored the lyrics of hundreds of thousands of songs and....what?!! you don't believe me?! You cheeky.....Oh all right then. I went to this page:

http://www.lyricsworld.com/search/

typed in the first few words and it returned this link:

Damn, I've gone and revealed my secret. Now I won't be able to impress anyone anymore!

You impressed me!!!

Until I read further that is...

I knew the song. I still have the cassette. Not sure if it would play, though...

MacTerminator September 1st, 2002 04:52 PM

Cassette?? Let me think....was that sort of.....like the funny little rectangular plasticy thing with two reels and magnetic tape that I used to store my old ZX Spectrum games on....and that used to make a sort of rhythmic scrunching noise when the machine ate it?

Gosh, that brings back memories!!

Julie Z September 1st, 2002 10:10 PM

Doesn't it? I really liked the over-used (or did it partially melt) ones that had that wonderful high-pitched squeal to them... Aaaaahhhh, those were the days...

Earthshaman September 2nd, 2002 08:32 AM

Haha, your great!

thank you very much Macterminator! :)
that secret is very valuable indeed. I dont know how many times i had the song on the tip of my tounge and couldnt do anything with it!

the funny thing is, i was chatting with my boss, who is from the same era as me, so he knows the song, and he told me it was "frisco" from the soap opera, "all my children". Hahaha. :) but he couldnt remember the actors name, and Jack Wagner sure rings a bell as a soap actor.

thanks again!!!!!

(hopefully i can find the song on limewire now, and the tabs for it on guitartabs.com, and then i can recreate the song with my own acoustic passed down from my dear momma)

bless you!

Actually, he was Frisco Jones on General Hospital. He only had that solo album (I'm pretty sure), then he was on Melrose Place for awhile and now...

Oh wait, a little too much info? So sorry! :p

Earthshaman September 2nd, 2002 12:50 PM

HAHAHAHA

oh yeah, thats what I meant, "another world"! (jk)
heheheh. does someone watch too much tv????
:D (dont worry, i was raised on the thing. I stopped lately though. Its really funny, I love music and occaisionally when im at a friends house I catch a video or two, and im all like, whoah! and any other tv show im mesmerized.... most of my free time these days is internet, playing guitar or some other form of relaxation... tv is just about phased out of my life.... which im kind of happy about..... still, Old comforts like meat, dairy and tv feel like sins im trying to overcome.... guilty pleasures, so to speak.... its hard to try to improve your life somtimes....:)

I think you've also revealed a bit of a mis-spent youth there, Julie Z. :D

Julie Z September 2nd, 2002 02:12 PM

Hey, now...!!! I only mentioned 2 tv shows. You know, they could be the only two I've ever watched....

doubtful? Yeah...

Oh well...I sure did have a thing for him though...

MacTerminator September 2nd, 2002 03:15 PM

Ahaaaaa! Now we're getting to the root of the matter! But.....wait a second.....you mean to say that you didn't watch Melrose Place for the for the elite thespian talent of its cast or for the gritty realism of its plots that made you think that they had plagiarized a chunk of your life?

I spend a lot of time whingeing to my friends about the junk on TV. But then what do I do when I get home? You guessed it! Grab the remote control and slump in front of the TV. Though recently the programs have been so bad (the summer silly season) that I've been tempted to throw it out the window and I live on the 7th floor. Perhaps I will one of these days and probably be a happier, mentally richer person for it. Unfortunately the TV isn't mine though, so I doubt its owner will be too pleased, nor for that matter, will any innocent pedestrians who happen to be passing at the time.

well, after I got rid of my TV, the internet took its place. I was online for about a five years straight with no life. The last five months have been a real breath of fresh air, no tv, no internet, just real people, wow!... im back online now, but im using it for music mostly... i still feel the pull, however, and could end up back in it too much.... so.... im gonna go now.. heheh... see ya guys!!!
